I have to say, I love Indy more and more every day I live here. It's a bigger city with a small town feel. There's no lack of anything to do, either.
Saturday evening, Martin's co-worker Mike and his wife Susan took us out to dinner a famous local place. Sahm's. Sahm's has been around since the 80s. When we first passed one, I thought Sahm's was an acornym for Stay At Home Moms who had started a restuarant. I have since discovered that is not the case. I had a wonderful meal of Steak Dianne. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu offerings.
Indiana has no helmet law for motorcycles. I subscribe to that old saying, "If you don't think you need a helmet, you probably don't."
People here are crazy about jogging. Rain, shine, 45 degrees, 95 degrees, someone has their running shoes on and are trotting about. Better them than me.
People in Indy don't know from hockey. They don't seem to have a team. I was up wayyyy too late last night watching the Stanley Cup play-offs. (I still think the Red Wings are going to take the cup. Again.)
glad you are enjoying your new town...

Congrats on your newest venture, Lisa. I do miss seeing you here, though. Have a happy 4th!

Hi Lisa,
I saw that you got a gig with IndyStar. Anyhow, I just thought I would say hello and welcome you to the area. I currently live in Fishers too, and think you will enjoy it. UNTIL WINTER. Then again, you're from Michigan, so you're used to it being even worse.
Oh, and while you are right, not many people here have a favorite team... There is always the "Indiana Ice". Haha.

Keep up the blogging. :D
