I am not a coffee drinker. I have never drunk coffee. My mom, on the other hand, drank coffee 24/7 so I think she drank my fill, as well.
The mere smell of coffee makes me quiver. But I do make it for my husband, with eggshells if I can.
Me, I drink tea.
I am something of a tea connoisseur.
My all time favorite tea is Bigelow's Lemon Lift. I also enjoy Constant Comment. I am not so thrilled with the Celestial Seasonings herbal offerings. Their Morning Thunder is eh, not so great.
Lately, I've seen Chinese White Tea. I would very much like to try it, but it's very expensive ($11.95 for a tin of 10) and I would be very disappointed if I got it and hated it. After all, if I spent that much on a bottle of wine, I'd at least get a buzz.
Have you ever tried one of those "tea ball" things... you put the loose tea leaves in them to steep...? That may open up some new avenues in finding a favorite tea... I know there are a few places that sell tea here and they have quite the selection... As for me I never quite got into drinking tea other than when I am sick or in the winter ...

I have to have at least two cups of coffee just to open my eyes in the morning. I have to have that "pick me up."
I do love Constant Comment Tea--have drank it since the mid 1970s. But give Earl Grey Tea a try if you haven't already it is remarkable!
At Christmas time I enjoy putting a candy cane in my cup of tea. That is really good--stir the tea with the candy cane--relaxing lift.

Lisa, have you had tea from Korea? My brother-in law who travels constantly and knows of my love for tea brought me some from his last trip.
Since I cannot read Korean I have no idea what it is. It comes in a nice box with some type of utinsel and green canister to mix it in. Looks very strange to me but hey, he says it's tea!

I remember the only time I tasted coffee. I was maybe nine years old and Gomez was drinking at the poolside bar of the Key Biscayne Hotel and he offered me a taste from his cup. I didn't care for it and never tried it again but sometimes I think I'm missing out on something because so much of our social interactions are based on coffee drinking rituals that I don't participate in.
Then again, tea can be relaxing.
