The good news is although I only dry heaved a little bit this morning getting ready for work while I was ironing my shorts, I didn't cry at all today. (NOTE TO SELF: It's only 8:57 p.m., you have a couple hours to go yet.)
I asked my dear friend Michelle to edit my resume, and she did, she tweaked it all up and channeled out all of the anger I had in it, yet still let my personality show. Thanks, Shell.
The other good news is that I was able to do some serious deck sitting and downed two glasses of mediocre Pinot Grigio (it was really really cold so that made up for it's mediocrity) in quick succession and even got a bit of the late afternoon sun on myself. Sun always makes me happy, even if it is like 98 degrees here.
The bad news is that I still really want to find another job and it's rough going out there and I am nervous about any interview I might have because I am essentially a love me or hate me type person.
I'm overall just very glad I haven't cried yet today. You know it's time to change jobs when the best you can come up with after your workday is "I'm really glad I didn't cry today!"
Please also note, dear friends and random readers, I am not a weepy type of person.
You can count on me anytime, Lis. You know that. My fingers are crossed for a quick job switch and one that you truly enjoy!

my girlfriend just quit her job because her paycheck bounced... yeah. so i am with you - i think there are certain basic expectations you should have of your employer and workplace. if those aren't being met, then it sounds like a change will be very positive for you also.
