I am a champion Deck Sitter.
My deck is neither fancy nor overlarge but its suits my deck sitting needs perfectly.
There is nothing I love more than sitting on my deck in the late afternoon reading a good book, soaking up the sun and having an adult beverage. In lieu of a good book, a good friend to chat with works even better. If there is music involved, I am truly in deck sitting heaven.
My husband is not second runner up in the deck sitting contest. First off, he has this English Guy thing where he only wears shorts when the outside temperature reaches over 100 degrees. Also, being English, his skin isn't exactly skin colored, it's more like very pale blue and he is prone to burn. Bugs enjoy feasting on his meaty blueish white skin as well. All that blue blood, I suspect.
You will never be hailed as a winner in the Deck Sitting Championship by whining about putting the umbrella up for some shade. At least not in this deck sitting league.
It is the perfect time of year for some serious deck sitting, isn't it?
Lately my drink of choice has been iced tea with lemon and a touch of vanilla. The only problem is that I think I lived in the south too long because I've grown to like it as sweet as syrup...LOTS of sugar.
Which also means lots of calories. That combined with the aforementioned deck sitting is definetly not helping with my summer "six pack".
