I work for a fairly small company, less than twenty employees. I found out today that I am not the only one shooting for a TV gig.
I am one of three.
Who'd a thunk it? Three people in the same small company looking for three different TV gigs.
1. Tim, who's nickname is Tiny, a very nice guy who is very active in horseback riding and associated activities, is interested in the latest PBS House series, Texas Ranch House. He'd be perfect for it, as it involves a two week cattle drive, living in the wild west and riding a lot.
2. Chuck is trying out for the Amazing Race with his two sisters and his mother. They already have their tape ready to submit and are waiting for their Visas.
3. I'm trying for the Vice President of the Dukes Of Hazzard Institute.
I can just imagine if one of us actually lands one of these gigs. Every week when the show airs, there will be a company gathering at a local watering hole while we cheer them on.
I'm not quite sure what this says about how we all feel about work, though.
