The Happy Days Reunion show is on right now so I must leave you for a bit, oh faithful readers.
I loved Happy Days as a kid. It figured high on my TV list, right up there with Little House On The Prairie and The Waltons. Oh, and the Legend Of Sleepy Hollow, the headless horseman Halloween special, which scared the bejesus out of me for several years running, as did the Scooby Doo Abonimable Snowman episode.
And the other great shows spun off of Happy Days, like Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy. Bet Garry Marshall's kids didn't eat a lot of ramen noodles in college.
I wanted to be Pinky Tuscadero from Happy Days, I wanted to be Half Pint from Little House On The Prairie and I wanted to Elizabeth on the Waltons.
My husband, being a Brit and not moving here until he was ten and being a few years (ahem) younger than me, never watched any of these shows.
No wonder his childhood was so bleak. He never had a chance to wear a t-shirt that said, "Sit On It."
