We went out to dinner tonight with Margaret and Peter, my in-laws. Normally we have them over for Sunday dinner but they received several gift certificates to restaurants as holiday gifts so we decided to go out. Margaret and I are always in favor of paying to have someone bring us food and clean up after us. Even better when the meal is already paid for.
We went to The Outback. While this is not my favorite restaurant at all (in fact it ranks pretty low on the list), (NOTE: But it was FREE.) I can always eat a hunk of red meat. We thought we were being all clever by going at 5 o'clock before it was busy. Peter has no patience for waiting for a table at all. Well, the place was packed. So much for being clever. We only waited about ten minutes, though.
Anyhow.
I had my hunk of red meat and it was fair. Not great. Fair. We are now home and I kept smelling something. Not necessarily bad, but something. I have now discovered what it is.
My sweater smells like The Outback.
I smell like a steak.
No wonder the dogs were so happy to see me.
Oh my goodness.. this is so funny.
My hubby went vegetarian over the summer. I, however, still eat meat. I kept thinking for awhile that he'd fall off the wagon, and we'd end up at Outback, wearing napkins around our necks and eating steak with our bare hands.
Alas, this has not come to pass. :(
