Julia Roberts named her newborn twins Phinneas and Hazel. Does she want them to get the shit kicked out of them on the playground or what?
My grandmother's name was Hazel and it was old-fashioned then. It's certainly not a cute old-fashioned name that is back in use, like Emma or Hannah or Grace.
It's starting to sound like celebrity moms are competing to see who can name their child the goofiest name.
I think that choosing a chid's name is a personal choice. I have an Aunt Hazel and my Grandmother's name was Edna. My Mom's name is Alma. I always thought that these names were different and out of protest I changed them to Auntie, Grandma and Mom, respectivly. We can't all be blessed with creative and socially acceptable names such as Dexter. The beauty of a name is in the mind of the beholder. We are all different and a "rose by any other name will still smell the same". I think that I hacked that quote; but you should be able to get my point. Take care my sister and be tolerant.
