My husband has discovered this:
GoogleEarth.exe
(Sorry, you'll have to cope and paste.)
He has been amusing himself endlessly for a couple hours now, finding where we live now, we are going to live in a couple weeks, where I lived when I was in college, the restaurant we ate at in PA, where he lived both as a child and as a young adult in England, Eqypt, the Bahamas, the RV place we camped at on our honeymoon, the North Pole, the former USSR missile sites, Hell, Michigan.
I'm exhausted from all this travelling.
The link is actually:

I downloaded that a month or so ago...I sat in utter awe in front of my computer for a day playing with it. Good stuff.

It's addictive alright. I've found the Gaza plateau, the statue of Christ in Rio, several of my old homes and work places in England, the spot Lisa and I honeymooned on, Red Square, all the tracks I raced at, the list goes on! What fun!

Hi Lisa and Mahtin. Jahm discovered that form of world travel last year and immediately signed up for life.
It is a lot of fun and has allowed me to check on neighborhoods all over the world. I only wish it was real time. I guess only the CIA and ire dear administration have that priviledge! Cheers ya'll and hope that we will meet some day. My "N" # 2 was from Rochester MI bach in the day, an heir of the Scripps-Howard Newspaper family. Haven't been there since 1995. I used to like his family! Pas de toute.
Actually I met him through his sister (now nasty) who was my roommate in boarding school. She turned into a roaring alchoholic and lost custody of her children in the '90's. I forced her dysfuntional brother to cart her off to betty ford's place. It didn't take. xxoomoi
